What began as an after-school initiative has become a holistic empowerment movement for marginalized girls— nurturing body, mind, and voice.
A Gap No One Was Addressing
In India's marginalized communities, girls often finish school but lack:
Confidence in their own voices
Opportunities beyond basic academics
Spaces that nurture the whole self— emotionally, physically, culturally, and socially
Modern education focused on marks —
but not on dignity, identity, or life skills.
That's where Sarvam Shakti stepped in.
The inception
Under a Tree, in Delhi of 2012
What started with a handful of girls learning Indian classical dance under a tree quickly became something bigger— a discovery that arts and culture can awaken confidence and coordination in ways academics alone never could.
The founder— Nehha Bhatnagar, driven by a belief that culture and self-expression are fundamental human rights, imagined a place where every girl could discover her inner light.
