Voices of Our Supporters

Sarvam is sustained by individuals and organisations who believe in long-term, thoughtful work. Here's what some of our supporters share about their association with Sarvam.

It has been a joy and inspiration to see the Sarvam Shakti Foundation grow from strength to strength over the years. I am grateful to bear witness to how the Sarvam Shakti Girl students, who come from under-served communities, continue to embrace art as an anchor point to grow and evolve as future wonderful human beings, inspiring many others. I wish the entire Sarvam Shakti family more power & inspiration in their path. “

Dipanwita Chakarborty

A motherly soul behind every light, Turning silence into strength, and fear into flight. स्वास्थ्य, शिक्षा, कला और जीवन कौशल — the pillars you weave, In every heartbeat, a reason to believe. Femininity here wears wisdom’s glow, A soft power that helps young minds grow. It shelters, uplifts, nurtures, and frees, Like rivers, like roots, like whispering trees.

Annu Jindal Garg

(Partner in Encriss Technologies group)

Hemangi ji, I have been watching the Shaktis for a long time now. I have seen them perform on a big platform in Gurugram. I have seen many people and NGOs but the way you work with your passion and enthusiasm, it is very rare to find people like you. I want to motivate the Shaktis by saying the efforts that Hemangi mam put for you, you do the same and you never disappoint her. Mam's success would be only when you put the same amount of effort as much as she is putting on you. I would like to say Hemangi mam whenever you need any help I'll always be there standing for you like I already have.

Rama Rathi

(MCG & President, Gurgaon Citizens’ Council)

The first time the team 'Sarvam Shakti' performed in Exotica was during the Independence Day celebrations on August 15th. For me and all the residents across different age groups, it was a visual treat to watch the girls in colorful costumes perform contemporary and traditional dances with equal ease and grace. What impressed me the most was their discipline, coordination, grace, and determination, which shone in their eyes! Overall, it was an honor and a joy to witness their performances, and I felt that it was we who were less privileged to have missed out on an opportunity thus far, rather than considering the young team of girls as underprivileged in any form.

Dr. Brig SS Anand

(President of Exotica ,Golf Course Road, Gurgaon)

Working as a Rotarian gives me the opportunity to see many interesting projects worldwide. Though, would I have to pick my favourite projects now, they would be a few and one of them I was privileged to see was Sarvam Shakti. These girls touched my heart in a very special way and I could see that the holistic learning centers were effective to uplift them. Education surely is one of the most vital tools to fight poverty and I firmly believe that when you educate a girl you educate the whole family. Let me wish you all the best for your most valuable work.

Alok Varshney

(President of Rotary Club Delhi Vasant Kunj & Director-Cantier Systems Pvt. Ltd.)

Salute you all for taking up the most wonderful project that works towards bringing joy to the lives of innocent underprivileged girls from the bottom of the heart. There are rare people like you and your family who care. And Mohini would like to keep repeating our little contribution from time to time (Weekly) in the form of gifts like Bags, Soaps and towels, Toothpaste, etc. for their families, Fruits and Eggs, and what you may suggest.

At the official visit of the chairman of IWC Rajendra Place, Delhi, a scintillating and mesmerizing dance performance enthralled the members and guests. The smiling faces of the young Shakti and their unwavering confidence brought thundering applause from all. The young and dynamic MC won the hearts of the audience with her immaculate diction. Yoga brings about a balance of the body and the mind. The Yogic asnas exhibited by the teenagers left all spellbound. Their fit and slim physique performing the most difficult of postures was a sight to behold. The effort and hard work put in by their soft-spoken and humble Mentor Himangi Bhatnagar deserves no less than a standing ovation. She has managed a Herculean task of training these first-generation Learners coming from diverse backgrounds. My congratulations to her and the Shaktis. Blessings to all of you. Soar high!

Geeta Bahl

(ISO IWC Rajendra place, Delhi District 301)

The Sarvam Shakti Foundation is an organisation for marginalised girls whom they educate, train in classical dance, spoken English and many other skills. The two dance performances they gave us during the Independence day celebrations covering different age groups were superlative in rhythm , synchronised movement and grace. We in Exotica always look forward to their performances.

Tripti Kahai

(Editor, Exotica Pulse)

Exoticans felt honored, and really appreciated having the Sarvam Shakti Foundation girls do 3 artistic dance performances in our Independence Day program this year. It was such a delight to see this vibrant group in colorful clothes, perform intricate steps to Bollywood patriotic songs. They matched the beats like professionals, and entertained and awed the audience with their superb group dances.

Rachna Singhal

(Wife of President . Exotica (Ashok Singhal))

It was a delightful surprise to have witnessed the dance performance with an apt message on caring for the environment by young girls of the 'Sarvam Shakti' Organization. The care for the environment shown by these young girls on the eve of the New Year through their astonishing and well-synchronized dance was a treat for all the residents of Adani Samsara Vilasa. Our deep gratitude to Mrs. Bhatnagar, her daughter, and Ms. Tripti for organizing and giving us the honor to witness this stupendous dance drama. One could clearly see the effort, dedication, and passion put in by them and the children for the amazing show. Thanks. We wish 'Sarvam Shakti' all the best and wish the children a bright future.

Sudhir Jhakar

(Retired Major, Indian Army)

Everyone who witnessed them was mesmerized and loved their presence. God bless these girls; they deserve everything in life.

Mihir Karmakar

(General Secretary of Purbapalli Durgabari Samiti)

Along with various deliberations aimed at improving our education systems, one such live example was a performance by the girls of the Sarvam Foundation. The way the children have evolved and developed their personalities and confidence was an eye-opener.It clearly endorsed the fact that holistic education is essential. It not only deepens our roots but also broadens our vision, as evident when one witnesses the children who have blossomed under this NGO. Just an academic background is not complete education. Various artistic skills unleash a child's potential to greater heights. My good wishes to the Mother-Daughter duo, Hemangi and Neha Bhatnagar, who have nurtured and are creating such Shaktis. Today, the first batch is trained to teach their peers. My support is always there for Sarvam. I pray and wish more hands join in, as this is truly the best way forward to a brighter and stronger nation.

Ruchi Rai

(Co-Chair 2023-24)

An evening with the Sarvam Shakti girls at The Heritage School, Vasant Kunj. My teeth finally showed up. The energies are absolutely contagious, keeping me upbeat. Looking forward to seeing them soar to greater heights. ❤️

Dr. Sunita Swaraj

(Principal at The Heritage School)

I must congratulate you, Hemangi, for bringing out the hidden talents of the SHAKTIS. Not only was the excellent dance (classical, contemporary, & fusion) of a very high standard, but also their confidence in conducting and speaking in English is highly appreciated. Thank you for engaging in such a unique and noble work. I wish and pray that the SHAKTIS reach heights where the world can witness their talents.

Sarnali Roy

(Senior Faculty of Art of living Foundation)

Sarvam Shakti girls performed a fabulous fusion dance on the occasion of Independence Day in Orlov Court. The dance was well-choreographed, and the girls were all very well-synchronized, making it almost resemble a scene from a national-level dance competition. Despite facing a technical snag that briefly interrupted their performance, the girls didn't budge or get nervous. Instead, they remained composed and came out stronger when the music resumed. The performance was a treat to the soul.

Rhythem Pahwa

(Strategy Manager, Deloitte Consulting)

So much doing, Hema! The display of their acquired art, dance, and confidence is all your doing. Stay blessed, girls, and their mentors.

Geeti Behl

(Member of Inner Wheel Club)

It was a pleasure to see the spellbinding performance by the girls of Sarvam Shakti. The Bharat Natyam and Yoga were flawless with each artist performing with grace and expressions. The girls made very tough formations in yoga showing a great command of mind and body with excellent balance and composure. The kathak performance exuded grace and beauty. We could see the dedication and hardwork put in by Sarvam Shakti for their program. The girls were very confident and also seemed to be chipping in managing the program. The organisation’s emphasis on healthy diet and harbouring good life skills is gearing the girls for the world and a good future. I wish them well and strength.

Ambika Ma'am

(Happy School-2 Principal)

The 10th-anniversary celebration of Sarvam Shakti was a powerful reminder of the incredible impact this organization has on the lives of young girls from marginalized families. Under the visionary leadership of Ms.Neha and Ms. Himangi, the team provides a holistic approach – nurturing them with yoga, Bharatnatyam, language skills, and essential nutrition. But it's the extra mile they go, connecting these girls to opportunities, that truly sets them apart. Seeing these bright young women now flourishing as professionals in schools, hotels, and airlines is concrete proof of Sarvam's life-changing work. I left the anniversary celebration feeling deeply grateful for the opportunity to witness and support Sarvam Shakti's vital mission. Love.

Harshita Chauhan

(Faculty , Heritage School)

Being an Odissi dancer and Indian dance teacher, it gives me immense pleasure to watch Sarvam Girls perform on stage, as I can feel that these young girls are working hard to preserve our Indian culture with so much passion and dedication. They are one of the best examples for people who talk about "women empowerment." It's been almost 4-5 years since I have been watching these girls grow up, not only as good dancers, but also I have seen the development of their overall personality. Four years ago, when I got associated with Sarvam Shakti for a dance project through The Heritage School, Vasant Kunj, there were only a few students. But today, I am so glad to see around 60/65 Sarvam Shakti girls. I wish them all the best for the future, and may they keep inspiring each one of us, especially our young generation.

Pallavi Pramanik

(Dance Teacher at The Heritage School)

We were overjoyed to see marvelous dance performances by the girls of 'Sarvam Shakti' on New Year's Eve. The way they expressed themselves and inspired people to protect our planet was amazing. The dedication of people who are associated with this NGO is also commendable. Keep up the great work!

Sarvam Shakti is really doing a wonderful job of nurturing skills in the girls and providing them with a platform to showcase the same. We really appreciate the efforts of founders Hemangi and Neha. Dear Hemangi, The performance of the girls from Sarvam Shakti during the Republic day celebration at La Lagune was par excellence. They showcased India's culture and gave an outstanding performance. Sarvam Shakti is doing an amazing job by empowering underprivileged girls and helping them attain a sense of dignity and self-respect through these initiatives.

Brig Ajay Kohli

Dear Neha and Hemangi, It's always such a divine pleasure watching the girls of Sarvam Shakti perform. While I've had the privilege of watching the Foundation grow over the years, changing the lives of hundreds of these less fortunate girls, this one at the Leela Ambience Hotel during Rotary's recently concluded District Conference was an exhilarating, soul-searching, and beautiful experience. You wonderful, committed, caring duo of mother and daughter are living examples of doing good in the world, changing lives, and looking beyond yourselves. I salute you. May God keep you and all that you do, always blessed.

Raman Bhatia

The Sarvam Shakti Foundation, true to its name, is doing commendable work in empowering underprivileged girls, particularly through its focus on cultural enrichment—an aspect often overlooked by the society. By nurturing cultural development, the foundation not only contributes to the cultural fabric of our nation but also plays a pivotal role in shaping empowered future for Bharat.

Kaifi Bharti

(Founder, Heights Group)

When I witnessed the Shakti’s perform at our office on Women’s day, I was truly inspired. They were smiling and confident. So respectful and very eager to perform. The humble background didn’t deter their commitment to learn.I was amazed to see how well they spoke, they could fluently explain what they were performing for such large audience. It’s really hard to see that confidence in best of kids these days.

Palki Singh

(Workplace Experience Lead For India, CBRE Gurgaon)

The Inner Wheel District 301 Sports Day MASHAAL was celebrated on 9th February 23 at Jasola grounds. 400 students from 11 NGOs participated in various games. There were stunning performances too. It was an absolute delight to watch such amazing dexterity and skills in the Saksham NGO girls at Orlov Court Independence Day function. Dr. Farah Husain

Shahana Dosajh

It was a sheer pleasure to witness Sarvam Shakti girls perform Classical dance and Hatha Yoga. The girls spoke English with such poise. It was an immense pleasure to see the awesome work done by your foundation. I was also surprised to see two young teenagers who were facilitating the program on their long weekend. This is how Sarvam is attracting the upcoming generation to support their cause. Hats off to your work and the positive vibrations you spread across. Lots of blessings to the young girls for a bright future.

Ritu Arora

(Vice President, Capgemini)

I am at a loss for words to express my appreciation for Mrs. Bhatnagar’s family, who have not only brought this phenomenal change in the lives of 300 otherwise underprivileged girls but also changed the attitude in a not-too-bothered society in which we live. Mrs. Bhatnagar has appropriately named them Shaktis and is tirelessly working towards realizing the term in its true sense. Following a positive lead, Sarvam Shakti was given a platform to showcase a glimpse of their infinite energy through performances - first at our Durga Puja Celebration venue and later at an open-air stage in our society's lawns on Dhanteras evening. Both performances were incredibly good, powerful, classy, and spellbinding; therefore receiving a strong response and reaction from the spectators for both the performers and the prime mover - Himangi ji. For all of us, it has been a big takeaway as to how single-minded devotion and effort can bring about such big transformations! I wish Sarvam Shakti all the best towards its much-deserved prosperity.

Alok Roy

(President, PWO housing complex & President, Sushant Lok Durga Puja Committee)

We were overwhelmed to know of the service undertaken by Sarvam Shakti for supporting the girls belonging to the lowest strata of our society. According to the teachings of Swami Vivekananda the service to the people is service to God. We wanted to salute the initiative which is quite rare today. As you once again become the eye of AWE for all the residents present at the January 26th HBRC Republic Day celebrations at the H5 park in Dlf Phase 1. I am ever proud of the strength grit and determination Team Shakti shows. Himmangi and Neha- your hard work along with the girl's unending trust in both of you has paid off. Congratulations on giving the world such beautiful confident young ones. WELL DONE Wishing all the Shakti’s a great future.

Arabinda Roy

(President of Purbapalli Durgabari Samiti, Gurgaon)

Sarvam Foundation is doing excellent work in providing a platform for girl children coming from different backgrounds of society and giving them an opportunity to learn arts and culture. We had a firsthand experience witnessing the girl children of Sarvam Foundation performing dance, songs, poetry, and yoga in an event organized by Purbapalli Durgabari Samiti on October 23rd, 2023. It was so refreshing to see this kind of initiative from Sarvam Foundation, who are doing true social work. I wish them the very best in all their endeavors.

Hare Krishna! It is indeed my privilege and pleasure to be associated with Sarvam NGO. Under the guidance of a dedicated, sincere, and compassionate team, girls are getting everything under one roof that a girl child needs to grow – compassion, love, safety, guidance, education, and, above all, confidence. Big platforms to showcase their talents. They are very talented, great performers, and trained in all forms of dances. Watching their performance is really a treat for the eyes. Their inner beauty reflects on their faces, and we know it is all sincere efforts of our dear friend Hema and her compassionate family. Our best wishes and blessings for all the girls for their future endeavors, and good wishes for the team of Sarvam. Keep it up, friends. With warm regards, PDC Gita Dhawan

It’s wonderful to read a heartwarming attribute to the exceptional work you and all your team have done to uplift the lives of so many young girls I would like to add on behalf of my family and myself that — I first saw an event planned by Hemangi and her team of the girls from the foundation at our residential complex at DLF on Independence Day a few years ago. We were so impressed by the performance of the girls and all the efforts by sarvam foundation to train these girls who all come from the weaker section of society to enhance their skills and realise their potential in various fields. The 10 th anniversary event held recently was a total validation of all the relentless selfless efforts put in by the foundation to help these talented young girls do better in life and once again it was heartwarming to hear that the girls have done so well as trainees at various reputable organisations and the gates are open to look forward to a bright future for. Our congratulations and best wishes on this milestone and blessings of the almighty for giving these girls an opportunity to change their lives

As a community at The Belaire, we celebrate our Republic Day with a lot of enthusiasm. However, this year 2023 was made special by the girls from your family - Sarvam Shakti. They performed with confidence, with passion, with grace, and emotion but without fear and without hesitation. I think you are doing an incredible job by enhancing not only their skills but also their lives. I’m sure appreciation from the people they perform for inculcates a sense of belonging and a sense of purpose which is essential to each human being's happiness. Thank you with all our hearts for bringing value to their lives! Good luck!

"Hemangi ji, Mr. Bhatnagar and the absent Nehha, whom I know is the inspiration for all of us. This morning has truly been an eye-opening experience, as I see how you've transformed the lives of such disadvantaged, who would have come to you in a state of so much distress. How you have completely transformed their lives, their minds, their bodies, their entire personality has evolved so beautifully. From little buds you have transformed them into such beautiful flowers. You can see how they bloom, how they will become the pillars of our future society. The parents of these children who are here with us, must be feeling so proud seeing these children. Sometimes we feel that the future is dark. But they have lit up that future. I would like to thank you on behalf of me and so many like me. I would like to say that you always keep moving forward, and if people like us can do something for you please don't hesitate. I wish all the very best to all the girls, to all the parents and to you and to those who inspire you and to those who you inspire. Thank you so much."

SHANTHI VENKAT

PRINCIPAL AT NHVPS, LEADING SCHOOL IN BENGALURU

Some experiences don't just touch you - they settle somewhere deep, rearranging the way you look at learning, at dignity, at possibility. This Sunday, I found myself in the midst of something quietly extraordinary - the Karnataka Rajyotsava celebration hosted by Sarvam Foundation's project, Sarvam Shakti. A small hall, simple stage, and a sea of young girls - eyes bright, spines straight, spirits untamed. These were children from under-resourced homes - but there was nothing "lacking" about them. They compered in fluent English, performed yoga with grace, danced to both classical and folk rhythms, and spoke of nutrition and cultural identity with rare confidence. It wasn't just the performance that held me - it was the poise. The quiet self-belief that comes only when someone, somewhere, has chosen to believe in you first. That "someone" here is Mrs. Nehha Bhatnagar- whose vision of art as empowerment has found a home in many hearts. With her mother Hemangi Bhatnagar, her husband Omprakash Rudraiah, and her in-laws walking beside her, she has created a sanctuary in Bengaluru where learning isn't limited to textbooks - it flows through movement, music, and mindfulness. The Delhi and Gurgaon chapters, now 13 years old and nurturing over 300 girls, stand as living proof that change doesn't always arrive with fanfare - sometimes, it arrives barefoot, with a smile and a shloka. As I watched,I couldn't help but think - this is what education was always meant to do. To make one stand taller in their own story. To give voice where silence once lived. I left with a full heart reminded that empowerment doesn't begin in policy papers; it begins when a child realises she matters. If you ever wish to see hope take human form, visit Sarvam Foundation. Meet the girls. Listen to their laughter. You'll walk out lighter, humbled- and perhaps a little changed. Sarvam Foundation. Where every girl learns not just to dream, but to soar.

Voices of Our Shaktis

The journey of Sarvam is best understood through the voices of the girls who walk it every day. Here are a few reflections from our Shaktis — in their own words.

I'm Inderjeet kaur , a student at sarvam and now a teacher too ( of my juniors ) . I have been with sarvam for the past 5.5 years and being there gave me a lot of things that are unexplainable but few examples are Kathak dance , Yoga , Computer applications & spoken English which made my life easier than previous . Now I have confidence and courage to move ahead & do whatever I want. Being there I met my potentials which I haven't met earlier,I performed on many stages & in different places that I never heard/visited and every stage gave me something to learn, something to adapt in my life . Now I'm doing an internship at The Heritage School Vasant kunj because I had all these skills to teach learners there . No matter how much I thank Sarvam it is less but thank you so much Sarvam for changing my life ❤️♾️

Inderjeet Kaur

I'm so grateful to be part of the Sarvam Shakti family! 🙏 They're an incredibly supportive and helpful community that truly empowers you to grow. Their guidance and encouragement have made a real difference in my life. Thank you Sarvam family.

I feel incredibly fortunate to connect with Sarvam. Thank you for everything! Sarvam Shakti is like a temple for me, where I experience immense positivity and learn various skills such as Bharatanatyam, computer skills, yoga, and management. I gain new knowledge every day. The center also prioritizes health, providing bananas, juice, and jaggery daily to keep illnesses at bay. I've come a long way from knowing nothing about Bharatanatyam to competing internationally. Himangi Ma'am has played a crucial role in my growth, always supporting me when I felt discouraged and treating me like her own child. I am deeply grateful for who I am today, thanks to Himangi Ma'am and Sarvam Shakti. You've truly made my life beautiful. Witnessing the lives of our Shaktis, particularly the journeys of Simran and Adrika, has been incredibly motivating. My work at Sarvam has also been a journey of growth and connection. I've learned so much from my fellow interns and the guidance of our project manager, Kritika. This experience feels like a service to the community and an investment in myself. Through Sarvam, I'm expanding my skills, building meaningful relationships, and discovering the true power of perseverance. I will always treasure the lessons I am learning at Sarvam Shakti and its impact on my life.

When I walked into Sarvam Foundation, I was warmly welcomed by Ms. Hemangi Bhatnagar. The passion in her voice, as she spoke about Sarvam’s commitment to bringing meaningful change in the lives of girls from marginalized communities, sounded almost too good to be true—until I witnessed it myself. The growth of the girls was evident in their confidence, the ease and fluency with which many of them communicated in English, and the grace and nimble movements with which they performed classical dance. For these girls, Sarvam Foundation felt like a haven—a space where they are learning, growing, and embracing opportunities that once seemed like distant dreams. I wish all the very best to all those who are involved with the Sarvam foundation.

The NGO gives a perfect opportunity to render knowledge to the unprivileged girls and make them have the knowledge to grow better. Their commitment to make a difference in the community regarding women empowerment is both inspiring and effective. Volunteering with Sarvam Shakti has truly been a rewarding experience for me because of the affection shown by the children and due to that the growing will inside me to teach them everyday. Somehow, seeing the passion inside the girls make me passionate to be a better self everyday and go limitless without thinking of the life challenges and hurdles.

Being a part of the Sarvam Foundation’s ETP Program has been utterly surreal. This opportunity to contribute to the education and edification of marginalized girls, whom we call Shaktis because of the power and potential they represent, has brought me immense joy; especially, when I see the change I have brought in my students’ lives.
