Voices of Sarvam
The true measure of our impact lives in the voices of those who experience it — our Shaktis, our supporters, and our team.

"Hemangi ji, Mr. Bhatnagar and the absent Nehha, whom I know is the inspiration for all of us. This morning has truly been an eye-opening experience, as I see how you've transformed the lives of such disadvantaged, who would have come to you in a state of so much distress. How you have completely transformed their lives, their minds, their bodies, their entire personality has evolved so beautifully. From little buds you have transformed them into such beautiful flowers. You can see how they bloom, how they will become the pillars of our future society. The parents of these children who are here with us, must be feeling so proud seeing these children. Sometimes we feel that the future is dark. But they have lit up that future. I would like to thank you on behalf of me and so many like me. I would like to say that you always keep moving forward, and if people like us can do something for you please don't hesitate. I wish all the very best to all the girls, to all the parents and to you and to those who inspire you and to those who you inspire. Thank you so much."

Some experiences don't just touch you - they settle somewhere deep, rearranging the way you look at learning, at dignity, at possibility. This Sunday, I found myself in the midst of something quietly extraordinary - the Karnataka Rajyotsava celebration hosted by Sarvam Foundation's project, Sarvam Shakti. A small hall, simple stage, and a sea of young girls - eyes bright, spines straight, spirits untamed. These were children from under-resourced homes - but there was nothing "lacking" about them. They compered in fluent English, performed yoga with grace, danced to both classical and folk rhythms, and spoke of nutrition and cultural identity with rare confidence. It wasn't just the performance that held me - it was the poise. The quiet self-belief that comes only when someone, somewhere, has chosen to believe in you first. That "someone" here is Mrs. Nehha Bhatnagar- whose vision of art as empowerment has found a home in many hearts. With her mother Hemangi Bhatnagar, her husband Omprakash Rudraiah, and her in-laws walking beside her, she has created a sanctuary in Bengaluru where learning isn't limited to textbooks - it flows through movement, music, and mindfulness. The Delhi and Gurgaon chapters, now 13 years old and nurturing over 300 girls, stand as living proof that change doesn't always arrive with fanfare - sometimes, it arrives barefoot, with a smile and a shloka. As I watched,I couldn't help but think - this is what education was always meant to do. To make one stand taller in their own story. To give voice where silence once lived. I left with a full heart reminded that empowerment doesn't begin in policy papers; it begins when a child realises she matters. If you ever wish to see hope take human form, visit Sarvam Foundation. Meet the girls. Listen to their laughter. You'll walk out lighter, humbled- and perhaps a little changed. Sarvam Foundation. Where every girl learns not just to dream, but to soar.
Voices of Our Shaktis
The journey of Sarvam is best understood through the voices of the girls who walk it every day. Here are a few reflections from our Shaktis — in their own words.
I'm Inderjeet kaur , a student at sarvam and now a teacher too ( of my juniors ) . I have been with sarvam for the past 5.5 years and being there gave me a lot of things that are unexplainable but few examples are Kathak dance , Yoga , Computer applications & spoken English which made my life easier than previous . Now I have confidence and courage to move ahead & do whatever I want. Being there I met my potentials which I haven't met earlier,I performed on many stages & in different places that I never heard/visited and every stage gave me something to learn, something to adapt in my life . Now I'm doing an internship at The Heritage School Vasant kunj because I had all these skills to teach learners there . No matter how much I thank Sarvam it is less but thank you so much Sarvam for changing my life ❤️♾️

She loves us unconditionally. Mridula Di (Bharatanatyam Teacher) is one of the reason to love our life and passion more . I feel incredibly fortunate to connect with Sarvam. Thank you for everything! Sarvam Shakti is like a temple for me, where I experience immense positivity and learn various skills such as Bharatanatyam, computer skills, yoga, and management. I gain new knowledge every day. The center also prioritizes health, providing bananas, juice, and jaggery daily to keep illnesses at bay. I've come a long way from knowing nothing about Bharatanatyam to competing internationally. Himangi Ma'am has played a crucial role in my growth, always supporting me when I felt discouraged and treating me like her own child. I am deeply grateful for who I am today, thanks to Himangi Ma'am and Sarvam Shakti. You've truly made my life beautiful. No matter how many times I express my gratitude, it will never feel like enough.❤️

In these 4 or 5 years, I have seen many changes within myself. ✨Sarvam Shakti gave me the opportunity to perform many places, and because of this opportunity I reduce my stage fear. I'm very lucky that I'm a part of Sarvam Shakti and I want more girls to join this organisation and make their life better. Here everyone is treated like a family. 🫂 THANK YOU SARVAM SHAKTI FOR YOUR SUPPORT. ❤️❤️

Sarvam Shakti's work towards empowerment of girls from marginalized families is truly remarkable and heartwarming. These girls receive holistic care through nutrition, dance, yoga and support in communication and life skills, helping them grow into confident and capable individuals. It is a joy to see how strong the girls are - physically, emotionally and spiritually.Sarvam Shakti has proved that social change can happen quietly and seamlessly through the dedication, effort and resilience of one individual who is committed to the cause. Joining Sarvam Shakti as a blog writer and LinkedIn manager in January has been a profoundly transformative experience. More than just teaching me time management and how to tackle tight deadlines, Sarvam has changed my perspective. Witnessing the lives of our Shaktis, particularly the journeys of Simran and Adrika, has been incredibly motivating. My work at Sarvam has also been a journey of growth and connection. I've learned so much from my fellow interns and the guidance of our project manager, Kritika. This experience feels like a service to the community and an investment in myself. Through Sarvam, I'm expanding my skills, building meaningful relationships, and discovering the true power of perseverance. I will always treasure the lessons I am learning at Sarvam Shakti and its impact on my life.

When I walked into Sarvam Foundation, I was warmly welcomed by Ms. Hemangi Bhatnagar. The passion in her voice, as she spoke about Sarvam’s commitment to bringing meaningful change in the lives of girls from marginalized communities, sounded almost too good to be true—until I witnessed it myself. The growth of the girls was evident in their confidence, the ease and fluency with which many of them communicated in English, and the grace and nimble movements with which they performed classical dance. For these girls, Sarvam Foundation felt like a haven—a space where they are learning, growing, and embracing opportunities that once seemed like distant dreams. I wish all the very best to all those who are involved with the Sarvam foundation.

The NGO gives a perfect opportunity to render knowledge to the unprivileged girls and make them have the knowledge to grow better. Their commitment to make a difference in the community regarding women empowerment is both inspiring and effective. Volunteering with Sarvam Shakti has truly been a rewarding experience for me because of the affection shown by the children and due to that the growing will inside me to teach them everyday. Somehow, seeing the passion inside the girls make me passionate to be a better self everyday and go limitless without thinking of the life challenges and hurdles.

Being a part of the Sarvam Foundation’s ETP Program has been utterly surreal. This opportunity to contribute to the education and edification of marginalized girls, whom we call Shaktis because of the power and potential they represent, has brought me immense joy; especially, when I see the change I have brought in my students’ lives.
