Diwali, also known as Deepavali, is a festival of lights celebrated in India. The word Deepavali is taken from the Sanskrit language, meaning a rows or series of lights. It symbolizes the spiritual victory of light over darkness, good over evil and knowledge over ignorance. Connected to various religious events and deities in Hindu religion, People celebrate this festival by illuminating their home and workplaces with lanterns, diyas and candles. This festival also signifies the importance of sharing happiness, where people share sweets and gifts with each other, wishing for their good health and prosperity.
This year, Diwali created a sense of unity at Sarvam Shakti. We celebrated this wonderful occasion with the Shaktis and our dedicated staff. The festive atmosphere was filled with laughter and joy, and the spirit of togetherness could be felt by everyone. The office was adorned with lights and flowers, with a rangoli made by our talented Shaktis at the entrance. The atmosphere was ecstatic - staff members wore traditional attire, adding a touch of color and festivity to the gathering.
Our Chief empowerment Officer, Hemangi Bhatnagar mam and Founder, Nehha Bhatnagar mam - gathered together with the girls on this auspicious occasion and wished them health, happiness and prosperity. The Shaktis were gifted 1 kg almonds- a thoughtful gesture that symbolizes health, prosperity and well being. Almonds are known to have various health benefits- specially for the kids. They are packed with nutrients, support brain development, provide energy boost etc. - serving as a perfectly healthy and delicious snack for the girls. The cultural significance they hold, along with encouraging healthy food over sugary treats makes them a perfect gift choice for our Shaktis on this occasion.
The Diwali celebration at Sarvam Shakti was a meaningful gathering for all of us. More than just an event, it was a reflection of values we portray - community, growth and support. Not only did we shared joy and happiness with each other, it also helped us to strengthen our bonds. The smiles on everyone’s faces was a reminder of the impact we can create together. As a gesture of Thanks, Shaktis recited a poem for Hemangi Bhatnagar mam.
Through the holistic education we provide at Sarvam Foundation to our Shaktis ,we aim to illuminate the lives of these girls. Here we foster an environment of love and support - empowering our Shaktis to build brighter futures and become independent, self-sufficient individuals.
This celebration was a beautiful reminder of the light we can bring to each other’s lives, and we look forward to carrying this spirit into the coming year!
