When Supriya first entered the world of Sarvam Shakti, she was a quiet, hesitant young girl - curious, but unsure of what she could become. Today, she is a confident Bharatanatyam performer, a yoga practitioner, and a young woman who carries grace not only in her dance but in her demeanour. Her transformation is living proof of what happens when discipline, opportunity, and nurturing guidance come together.

The Empowering Vision Behind Sarvam Shakti

Sarvam Shakti, the flagship initiative of the Sarvam Foundation, stands apart as one of the few NGOs in India that empowers girls from marginalized communities through holistic education, classical dance, yoga, nutrition, English, digital literacy, and life-skills training. Founded by Neha Bhatnagar and led by Hemangi Bhatnagar as Chief Empowerment Officer, Sarvam Shakti believes in building strength from within — not just teaching art, but cultivating confidence, character, and clarity. Their belief: every girl has the power to transform, if given the right tools and environment.

Dance as a Language of Strength For Supriya

Bharatanatyam became more than a dance form - it became her voice. Under the guidance of dedicated teachers, she learned the precision of mudras, the balance of movement, the grace of abhinaya, and the discipline of daily practice. Her recent performance at Tamil Nadu House, Chanakyapuri, marked a milestone in her artistic journey. Standing under the warm lights of Delhi’s cultural stage, dressed in traditional attire, she performed with the poise of a professional dancer - her expressions full of life, her rhythm perfectly aligned. Every step she took spoke of hours of practice, inner growth, and self-belief nurtured through Sarvam Shakti. That moment was not just a performance - it was a declaration of transformation. From a shy girl who once hesitated to speak, to a performer commanding an elite audience - Supriya’s evolution symbolizes the impact of Sarvam Shakti’s mission.

Yoga, Health & Inner Balance, alongside her dance training

Supriya also became part of the Shakti Strong stream - focusing on yoga, strength, and mental well-being. Through regular practice of asanas, pranayama, and meditation, she found a deeper connection with her body and mind. This not only improved her physical stamina for long dance rehearsals but also brought emotional balance. Yoga taught her focus, discipline, and calm - qualities that now reflect in her posture, composure, and daily attitude.

Achievements and Recognition

Supriya’s journey has been marked by dedication and achievement. Her Bharatanatyam performance at Tamil Nadu House earned praise for her expressive storytelling and stage presence. She has since participated in various community performances, school showcases, and Sarvam Shakti public events, inspiring younger Shaktis to follow her path. Beyond the spotlight, she contributes as a peer mentor, guiding new students in posture, rhythm, and discipline. Her resilience, humility, and commitment have made her one of the most admired Shaktis within the foundation

Before & After:

A Living Transformation Before Sarvam Shakti: Supriya was quiet, unsure, and low in confidence. She lacked exposure, physical stamina, and digital fluency. After Sarvam Shakti: She is confident, expressive, digitally literate, and physically strong. She performs on prestigious stages, practices yoga with consistency, and stands as a role model for other young girls from her community.

The Spirit of Sarvam Shakti

Few NGOs go to the lengths that Sarvam Shakti does — nurturing a girl’s body, mind, and spirit together. With Neha Bhatnagar’s visionary leadership and Hemangi Bhatnagar’s dynamic mentorship, the foundation continues to create not just dancers but strong, educated, self-aware young women ready to lead their own lives with dignity. Supriya’s story is not just about a single girl; it’s about the collective power of empowerment. It’s about turning hesitation into harmony, silence into song, and ordinary beginnings into extraordinary journeys. Through Sarvam Shakti, Supriya didn’t just learn to dance — she learned to shine.
