Imagine stepping onto the campus on the first day of school. There is a rush of excitement and nervousness. You just can’t wait for the new experiences and learnings. Except this time you aren’t a student, you are a teacher. Well, this is what our Shakti experienced this summer: first day of school, journey filled with learning and growth.
Our Shaktis, Simran, Neelam, Inderjeet, Usha and Shanti from our second senior batch have secured teaching internship positions at the prestigious Heritage School, Vasant Kunj, Delhi. Their roles range from Class teacher to librarian. Their days during the internship began with prayer setting a calm and focused tone for the learning ahead. They met their mentors, received their timetables, and prepared to dive headfirst into their new responsibilities.
Their internship entailed several tasks, this hands-on learning enabled them to exhibit a myriad of skills ranging from data entry to effective communication. They didn’t just dutifully complete the work assigned to them but also left a lasting impact on their students and peers. For instance, our Shakti, Inderjeet, identified a gap in the students' mannerisms and took the initiative to teach them basic etiquette, discipline, and how to follow instructions, showcasing their ability to be changemakers. This is the very essence of the Sarvam spirit - identifying needs and actively bridging learning gaps.
Our Shaktis describe this internship as an eye-opening experience. It was filled with lessons learned, revelations discovered, and the deep sense of gratitude towards their mentors and the Sarvam Foundation. They acknowledge the profound impact this experience has had on their personal and professional growth.
We are incredibly proud of Simran, Neelam, Inderjeet, Usha, and Shanti for their achievements and look forward to seeing them thrive in their internships. This milestone is not only a celebration of their hard work and dedication but also a testament to the transformative power of education and the unwavering support of the Sarvam Foundation.
Here's to new beginnings and the bright futures ahead for our Shaktis! They are not just students; they are educators, changemakers, and the future torchbearers of empowerment.
